Strickland Understands Storm Drain Systems
Strickland designs our storm drains to effectively evacuate excessive rain and ground water from paved streets, parking lots, sidewalks and roofs in need of water drain relief. Our storm drains vary in design from small residential dry wells to large municipal systems. Strickland researches the street gutters on motorways, freeways and other busy roads, as well as towns in areas which experience heavy rainfall, flooding and coastal towns which experience regular storms.

What is the storm drainage system?
It’s a network of structures, channels and underground pipes that carry storm water (rain water) to ponds, lakes, streams and rivers.
Strickland designs storm water management systems specifically to control the quantity, quality, timing, and distribution of storm water runoff. All storm water in North Georgia eventually flows into Lake Allatoona, Lake Lanier, and/or towards the Chattahoochee River. Strickland understands the terrain of the South. We pay special attention to slopes and ensures storm water flows properly to these major water outlets.
It’s not part of the wastewater (sanitary) sewer system, which carries water and waste from drains (sinks, bathtubs, showers, etc.) and toilets to a treatment plant to be treated and filtered. Storm water does not flow to a treatment plant.
